Activity Alliance has launched a new resources page on its website to support inclusive workplaces in the sport and physical activity sector.
The page was created as part of the Include to Improve programme, which is a two-year initiative led in partnership with Sport for Confidence and supported by Sport England.
The resources were developed using insight from people with lived experience, sector expertise and learning from the programme.
They offer practical tools, examples and guidance for improving workplace inclusion for disabled people.
The materials are designed to help employers, partners and individuals understand and apply inclusive practices in employment, volunteering and participation.
A key focus of the resources is workplace adjustments.
The tools show what adjustments look like in practice and how they benefit both individuals and organisations.
There are examples of successful implementations, guidance on schemes such as access to work and explanations of reasonable adjustments to help people when discussing changes with employers.
The resources also include guidelines, community principles and supportive documentation developed with the programme’s lived experience network.
These materials are designed for adaptation by other groups or organisations.
