Origo has recorded more than 100,000 pension transfer searches by advisers on its Unipass Transfer Tracking portal in its first year.

The service provides real-time updates on pension transfers, meaning advisers no longer need to contact providers for updates and clients have more clarity about their savings.

Anthony Rafferty (pictured), CEO of Origo, said: “The volume of searches on our pension transfer tracking service reflects the demand from advisers for much greater transparency, clearer communication and readily available information during their clients’ transfer journey.

“For advisers and clients, the experience should be like ordering through Deliveroo, where you can easily check how the order (or in this case pension transfer) is progressing and how long it’ll take to reach you.

“Pension transfers are in good health more generally, with transfer times continuing to fall despite the volume and values of pension transfers increasing over time.”

Rafferty added: “Against this backdrop, being able to easily track progress with a pension transfer felt like the one big thing that was missing until now, and it’s clear just how valuable having this level of clarity and information is now becoming for clients.

“Solving pain points for advisers is at the heart of everything we do at Origo.

“Unipass Transfer Tracking is just one example, and it’s delivering real results.”

He said: “Elsewhere, we’ve seen usage of our award‑winning Unipass Letter of Authority (ULoA) service increase thirty‑fold as more advisers turn to our free Unipass tools.”
