Moneybox has launched three new branded pension funds, aiming to help people save for retirement with a simple and low-cost investment option.

The platform now offers service fees of 0.15% capped at £150 a year and a fund fee of 0.29%.

Developed with Amundi, the largest European investment manager, the pension funds offer three options: the Moneybox Adventurous Fund, for higher risk and higher potential returns, the Moneybox Balanced Fund, for medium risk and a mix of growth and stability, and the Moneybox Cautious Fund, for lower risk and lower returns.

Each fund is aimed at different life stages, from those far from retirement to those nearing it.

Research from Moneybox found that just one in 10 UK adults were planning to increase pension contributions in 2026.

This rose to 17% for those aged 25 to 35 and 19% for those aged 35 to 44, showing increased engagement among younger workers.

Brian Byrnes, director of personal finance at Moneybox, said: “Your pension is one of the most important savings pots you will ever have, so it should be easy to understand and fit around real life.

“The Moneybox funds give people access to high quality investments to help secure their financial future.

“Too often, pensions feel complicated, outdated and hard to manage, which can put people off engaging with them at all.”

Byrnes added: “At Moneybox, we believe saving for retirement should be simple, affordable and in your control.

“That means helping people easily find and combine old pensions, keep costs clear, and invest in a way that suits them, so their pension can grow with them over time and give them confidence about the future.

“The launch of the Moneybox funds is a clear step forward in our ambition to become a lifelong wealth partner to millions across the UK.”
