E.ON signs pledge to offer paid fertility leave and support at work

E.ON has signed the Fertility Support Pledge, backing calls for fairer workplace rights for people undergoing fertility treatment. 

The pledge encourages employers to give clear, consistent support and to address the stigma faced by staff going through fertility treatment. 

This follows the Fertility Treatment (Right to Time Off) Bill being presented to Parliament by Alice Macdonald MP, which called for a statutory right to paid time off for fertility treatment appointments.

E.ON said it will provide paid time off for fertility appointments, offer accessible policy and guidance for staff and managers, appoint a fertility ambassador to encourage open conversations, and provide training for managers on the impact of fertility treatment.

“We’re proud to sign the Fertility Support Pledge and to support efforts in Parliament to better recognise the impact fertility treatment can have at work.
