Bupa will train 900 employees as ‘future focused specialists’ over the next three years, through a range of apprenticeships.
The 900 new apprenticeships are spread across three academies, with 300 people to train each year.
These include 100 leaders in customer care, 100 artificial intelligence (AI) enabled continuous improvement practitioners and 100 data and technology champions.
A fourth academy will offer upskilling in areas such as adult social care, procurement and supply.
The apprenticeships allow staff to expand skills and gain recognised qualifications.
Bupa’s new £6m clinical training academy in Staines will support the programme, with oral health apprenticeships running there this year.
Andy Benson, apprenticeship delivery manager at Bupa UK, said: “We are delighted to offer Bupa employees these exciting apprenticeships, which will help them strengthen their skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications to support their career development.
“National Apprenticeship Week rightly highlights the value of employers offering apprenticeships where possible, not only for individuals, but for businesses and the wider community.
“A skilled workforce is better equipped to navigate an increasingly complex and fast-changing environment, while enabling employees to continue progressing, growing and exploring new career opportunities.”
