L&G appoints CPO and chief strategy and investor relations officer

Emma Holden has been named chief people officer (CPO), while Andy Sinclair will be chief strategy and investor relations officer.

Legal & General (L&G) has made two senior appointments to strengthen its leadership team and support its growth plans.

Emma Holden has been named chief people officer (CPO) and will oversee people strategy, talent and culture. 

Holden joins from Man Group and previously spent 17 years at Schroders in senior HR, communications and investor relations roles. 

She will report to CEO António Simões and be part of the Group Management Committee. 

Holden’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Andy Sinclair will be chief strategy and investor relations officer. 

Sinclair will report to Simões and join Andrew Kail’s CFO leadership team. 

The group strategy and investor relations team will report into Sinclair.

He is currently managing director and head of the European insurance team at Bank of America Securities, with previous experience at Standard Life. 

Sinclair is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Both Holden and Sinclair will start at the end of January 2026.

Simões added: “Her appointment will ensure we have the right capabilities and culture to support our growth.
