Staffordshire County Council to support 11,000 residents into jobs by 2035
The plan is being delivered with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Jobcentre Plus, the Integrated Care Board and other partners.
Staffordshire County Council and partners have set out a 10-year plan to help people in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent into jobs.
The Get Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Working Plan will run from 2025 to 2035.
The aim is to boost employment, lower economic inactivity and create more opportunities for local people.
The plan is part of the national Get Britain Working programme.
In Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, this means helping at least 11,000 more people into work and tackling gaps between different communities.
The plan is being delivered with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Jobcentre Plus, the Integrated Care Board and other partners.
This includes district and borough councils, voluntary and community groups, education and skills providers and business representatives.
The plan targets several groups including people with long-term health conditions, young people aged 16 to 24 not in education, employment or training, those with mental health issues in work, people aged 50 to 64, those with disabilities, women affected by childcare responsibilities, and residents in deprived areas.
