Government clean energy plan to create over 15,000 new jobs in Wales by 2030
Skills pilots will run in Pembrokeshire, Cheshire and Lincolnshire, with £2.5m of Government funding to support new training centres, courses or career advisers.
The Government has set out plans for over 15,000 new clean energy jobs in Wales by 2030, focusing on roles like plumbers, electricians and welders.
A national plan has been published to recruit and train workers for the clean energy sector, with UK employment expected to double to 860,000 by 2030.
Wales is expected to see up to 20,000 clean energy jobs by 2030, an increase of around 15,000 since 2023.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband, said: “Wales is essential to the clean energy revolution that this government is delivering.
“Communities across Wales have long been calling out for a new generation of good industrial jobs.
“The clean energy jobs boom can answer that call – and today we publish a landmark national plan to make it happen.”
Miliband added: “Our plans will help create an economy in which there is no need to leave your hometown just to find a decent job.
