WBR Group strengthens SSAS and pensions expertise with key promotions
Caitlin Southall joins as director of SSAS transformation and proposition, and Mark Plewes joins as the head of pensions technical.
WBR Group has promoted Caitlin Southall (pictured) to director of small self-administered scheme (SSAS) transformation and proposition, and Mark Plewes to head of pensions technical.
The changes are aimed at building up technical knowledge and improving the client proposition in the SSAS and tax and pensions sectors.
Southall, who joined as head of SSAS proposition in 2024, will lead the development of the SSAS service.
She will continue to work with the senior leadership team to keep WBR Group’s proposition in line with what advisers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and family businesses need across the UK.
Plewes, who has worked in the technical team, has more than 10 years’ experience in pensions legislation.
As head of pensions technical, he will manage the team and provide guidance to both internal colleagues and external clients.
Before WBR Group, Plewes spent over eleven years at Rowanmoor in the pensions team.
WBR Group has also released a new trustee guide to help SSAS trustees understand their roles and responsibilities.
