New South Asian Professionals and Allies Network to launch in mortgage industry
Mortgage leaders from Accord Mortgages, Coventry Building Society and P2M Group are spearheading a new network to promote diversity, collaboration and professional growth, with the first event set for London on 2nd October.
A cross-industry group of mortgage professionals has announced the launch of the South Asian Professionals and Allies Network, a new initiative aimed at supporting both existing and new entrants into the sector with South Asian heritage.
The network will also provide a platform to collaborate, share ideas and encourage professional growth for members across roles including brokers, lenders and other industry participants.
The network, which is backed by Accord Mortgages and P2M Group, is designed to showcase the talent of South Asian colleagues while demonstrating how diversity and inclusion contribute to innovation, trust and business success.
Membership is open to anyone in the sector who wishes to get involved in supporting diversity.
The first event will take place on Thursday 2nd October at Lloyds Banking Group, 25 Gresham Street, London, between 5.45pm and 7.30pm.
Gurpreet Chahal, regional sales manager for Accord Mortgages, who is leading the initiative, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be launching this initiative, alongside industry colleagues, which is very close to my heart and I hope will encourage collaboration, growth and support in the sector for South Asian colleagues.
“And this is just the start – we have a future vision – with more events to come – bringing together further cross industry collaboration, supporting more members and helping our network to grow – which will ultimately benefit the sector and in turn, our customers.”
Dina Bhudia, CEO of P2M Group, added: “Our cultures and values shape how we approach homeownership and financial decisions, which is why having a community is so crucial for sharing experiences and challenges.
