Essex scheme offering digital health screenings for workers surpasses 1,000 checks
Out of over 1,000 checks, 357 people went on to use further support services, including help to quit smoking and for weight management.
Essex County Council’s digital health check scheme for workers has passed 1,000 checks across 23 businesses.
The programme began earlier this year in the South, with health check stations set up in businesses across Basildon and Brentwood.
The free, self-service stations from SiSU Health UK allowed workers to check blood pressure, heart rate, BMI and stress levels in a few minutes.
The stations also gave information on free support from the Essex Wellbeing Service, community pharmacy, or a local GP.

The scheme is supported by the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Partnership.
Baker Labels in Brentwood also took part in the scheme.
