Npower Business Solutions (nBS) Foundation, powered by E.ON, put £2.8m into 89 projects in the Midlands and Yorkshire in its first year.
The funding focused on economic and employment opportunities, alongside diversity, supporting vulnerable people, families, young people, and environmental projects.
nBS Foundation has a total commitment of £10m for these communities near Solihull and Leeds.
Building Futures Together in Yorkshire received £32,880 from nBS Foundation.
The charity gives young people hands-on experience in construction trades before they leave education.
The funding will pay for vocational sessions in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades for up to 30 disadvantaged young people aged 13 to 18.
These weekly sessions at the charity’s facility aim to build skills and confidence and help students find apprenticeships or jobs.
Additionally, The Jericho Foundation, a Birmingham-based charity, got £39,286 from nBS Foundation.
