OSB Group to run in-house skills sessions for ‘Learning at Work Week’
Jack Cope, BDM at OSB Group, has been with the group for nearly four years and said he has benefited from these development opportunities.
OSB Group will mark national ‘Learning at Work Week’ with several skills sessions including ‘empowering your career’ and ‘cultivating confidence’.
The company will also promote its in-house training as part of its aim to become a skills-based organisation and support career growth.
Jack Cope (pictured), BDM at OSB Group, has been with the group for nearly four years and said he has benefited from these learning and development opportunities.
After finishing his A-levels, Cope joined the broker liaison team where he gained experience in specialist residential and buy to let lending.
As part of OSB Group’s training, Cope spent a day with a field-based business development manager, which led him to make a development plan.
With his manager’s support, Cope identified areas to improve and after 10 months moved into an office-based business development manager role.
Cope said the skills he learned in the new job, including broker support and case management, helped him to progress again.
Two years later, he moved into a field-based business development manager position covering south-east England.
