Association for Project Management achieves ‘Carer Confident Level 2’ benchmark
The recognition highlights how APM supports staff with caring responsibilities and has embedded carer-friendly policies in its culture.
The Association for Project Management (APM) has been awarded the ‘Carer Confident Level 2 – Accomplished’ benchmark by Carers UK.
The recognition highlights how APM supports staff with caring responsibilities and has embedded carer-friendly policies in its culture.
The scheme looks at how employers support people who are looking after family or friends who are ill, disabled or elderly.
Being a Carer Confident employer helps attract and keep staff, builds an inclusive workplace and aims to improve wellbeing and productivity.
Debbie Donnelly, human resources, payroll and benefits coordinator at APM, said: “Achieving Level 2 reflects that carer-friendly policies and practices are firmly embedded in APM’s culture, and that carers within our organisation feel recognised and supported.
“It’s a strong sign of our ongoing commitment to providing an environment where all employees, including those with caring responsibilities, can thrive.
“We have a number of initiatives in place to support carers. This includes an active Carers Group, which offers a safe and supportive space for colleagues who have caring responsibilities.”
Donnelly added: “The group’s purpose is to provide peer support, share helpful resources, and help shape how APM continues to support carers.
