In 2025, 75% of Gen Z have ambitions to ditch traditional nine-to-five jobs and become their own boss, according to Finder.
Mindy Paul, wealth accumulation mentor, said: “If you’re setting your sights on wealth this year, Gen Zers are the ones to take notes from.
“They have mastered the art of profiting millions off of their passions, and understand the true value of financial freedom in today’s world.”
Paul explained that this generation is generating income in unique ways, primarily through online platforms such as streaming, TikToking, and selling products.
She said: “Growing up in the digital age, they quickly realised that the online world wasn’t just for scrolling through media, but was also a powerful tool for making significant amounts of money.”
Paul also highlighted Gen Z’s collaborative spirit, noting that they consistently share ideas, promote each other’s work, and uplift one another.
She said: “This knack for collaboration is a defining characteristic of their success.”
When reflecting on what older generations can learn from Gen Z, Paul advised breaking away from traditional norms.
