London City Airport receives Excellence accreditation from Mayor
London City Airport has been reaccredited at the ‘Excellence’ level of the Mayor of London’s Good Work Standard.

The Mayor launched the Good Work Standard in 2019.
London City met the criteria in all four pillars of the Mayor’s Good Work Standard to be reaccredited at the ‘Excellence’ level – the highest level achievable.
Since London City was first accredited in 2019, it made a number of improvements, including the introduction of policies to promote and facilitate pensions saving, a Women’s Night Safety Charter, and Diversity and Inclusion Champions across the organisation.
London City was praised by the Mayor for its work in supporting the local community, including the airport’s annual ‘STEM in Aviation Day’ and inaugural internship programme in partnership with the University of East London (UEL), as well as its policy of not using Zero Hours contracts and working with a Credit Union to offer greater financial wellbeing to staff.

London City was awarded Excellence in recognition of its commitment to its people and reflects the many ways in which the airport is striving for the best possible working conditions for its employees.
