Turkey has joined the list of countries offering a digital nomad visa to Britons, catering to those who work remotely and meet certain criteria.

Applicants must be aged between 21 and 55 and have an annual income of at least $36,000 (just over £29,000).

This new visa allows remote workers to live in Turkey while continuing their professions online, leveraging modern technology and communication tools.

The specific duration of Turkey’s digital nomad visa remains unclear, contrasting with Italy’s similar scheme, which grants visas for one year.

Italy recently opened applications for its digital nomad visa, reflecting a growing trend among nations to attract remote workers.

Prospective applicants must provide several documents, according to the Go Turkiye website. These include a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, a diploma or university degree certificate, and proof of employment in a digital nomad-capable field. A biometric photo is also required for the application process.
